Owings Mills (Md.) offensive tackle Donovan Smith is down to 12 schools - Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan State, North Carolina, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse, UCLA, Virginia and Virginia Tech. The 6-foot-5, 270-pound prospect had the Nittany Lions on top early, but kind of back off of those statements over the summer. I would say that Penn State is probably in the driver's seat here, but he wants to take some official visits before deciding.
Smith told Lions247 on Friday that he intends to visit Penn State when the Nittany Lions play Michigan at the end of October.
