    for those who don't trust links, basically fans are going onto online rating sites, and bashing AA's dad and saying he is a bad pediatric doctor,

  • This has been covered here also a few times. Ive said this before though, I work for Public Health and I know these things are overrated and dont mean nearly as much as some make them out to be. Serious patients are referred through other patients or medical professionals, and the best place to research is on govt websites which these OSU fans cannot touch under state and federal statute.

    That said, its douchey to do.

    Finally, I wouldn't make it a havit to link BSD stuff. Especiallly stuff thats been on these boards. You won't get a good reaction from many here.

    You have it nailed in regards to ratings sites. There are about 3 main ones out there, but they don't really affect a doc that much. A doc, especially a pediatric doc, will get most of his referrals from colleagues who respect him and families who are currently his patients.

    It is a hell of a douchey thing to do though.

    i did a quick search and didn't see it posted ill lock it up,

    that said, i agree that people aren't going to put a lot of stock into the reviews, just seems weird to me that people get that hyped up about recruiting that they go way over the line and take that much time out to try to put a recruits father down. It is funny when i saw it was a BSD link i questioned if it was worth the down votes i would most likely be getting haha.

    My experience is that very few patients will bring it up. But I believe a lot look. (Thankfully, I have a 5/5 on Health Grades and 4/4 on Vitals-Is there a pat yourself on the back emoticon? LOL.) Of course, a doctor would likely never see patients who were scared away by bad ratings.
