There were a bunch today. All very good, I thought. ESPN has backed way, way off IMO. Guys like Maisel and Rittenberg, who both had articles today, are not stupid, and they certainly aren't thoughtlessly reactionary. In other words, they are not Skip Bayless, who if I ever saw him on the street would end up unconscious on the sidewalk (I will never, ever forget his comments about Joe faking his illness).
Maisel wrote an incredibly good article shortly after the November explosion that was grounded and thoughtful, and took on the complexity of the situation that seemingly no one else wanted too. Ever since then I thought he'd been very levelheaded about the entire issue.

That said him frying Skip Bayless was hilarious. And he's worth keeping on just to bring him out of the bull pen for that. Watching the other guys' faces in that clip was awesome too.

This is one man's humble opinion, but I've found that there is usually a substantial difference between the ESPN.com folks (those who write and report and know the sports and the teams they cover) and the rest of the network (SportsCenter anchors, studio analysts, radio personalities, various talking heads) in terms of fairness and perspective. Maisel is one of the good guys.
