The program isn't going to go in the tank. Ya'll need to relax with this coaching search stuff and just believe in Ira and Dave. The job is already done.

Damn, give the guy a chance. Just because you don't approve of a hire doesn't mean the program is going to tank. I trust the people that brought in Cael Sanderson more than some random on the Internet.

Spulv..i agree to an extent..just look at us compared to every other school playing today...we are 5 years behind them already...we need a coach to bring a scheme that will once again make us competitive and up to speed with todays game...we do not have a qb on the roster right now to accomplish this..new coach has to get fuller to commit to us.
...and if you're not down with that, then I got 2 words for ya.."suck it!!"

.....which is why I said one or the other.
At this point, we have no QB, our entire DL is about to leave, and a good portion of our secondary(outside of today was very good all season). 4/5 of the OL is leaving, we have no impact TE, and our best WR is leaving. Our most dynamic player will probably be kicked off the team. Recruits are jumping ship during a critical recruiting cycle. Oh, and we just got the sh** kicked out of us by uhhhhhh, HOUSTON!
The program has tons of negative press, and we are smack dab in the middle of the worst scandal in CF history....oh, and our arch rival just smacked it out of the park with their hire.
Weather we want to believe it or not, this hire is extremely important. If one of these coordinators comes aboard with no HC experience, no recruiting ties, and really no relavance....we will indeed be in trouble.
So, yes, I am really rooting for a splash hire

In trouble in the sense that with a vanilla hire this program won't be relevant anymore? It hasn't been relevant for years. A splash hire doesn't guarantee success. The coaching staff as a whole does.
