  • The first meal is over and the preparation for the second one has started up already. It was great seeing Mel and Kirk, and from what I gathered it seemed like they had a blast, which really made our team feel great. We had 122 people show up, and 109 order entrees. The next dinner will be on Nov 29th. We will be adding a some new sides such as mac n cheese and either cheesy potatoes or a veggie medley as well

    Our Group theme is Speakeasy if you are trying to navigate on the link sent above. I will be a Front of House manager this time around so I will be talking to everyone coming in and making sure the server is doing everything possible to help make it a memorable experience.

  • Is this the last one you will be doing, or will there be other opportunities in the future? Will the menu stay the same, except for the changes you mentioned above?

    Can't say enough about the evening, and the great time we had. Highly encourage anyone who is thinking about it to attend. You won't be sorry. And the plus side is you're helping out a fellow Penn Stater. thumbsup

  • Obviously I can't speak for roaring but per the website there are several other dinners, but I'm guessing he/she is primarily focused on the speakeasy dinner.

    They sound great, I'd like to find one that is on a night I can take or have off work the following day.

    If winning was easy even losers would do it.

  • Lisa and I celebrated our 26th Wedding annivy. on the Oct. 25th dinner. The students went out of their way to make it a special occasion. Everyone from the hostess, outfront Manger, our server and our salad server made sure to wish us a Happy Anniversary! Great job by Kevin and his entire team.

    I 2nd Mel's encouragement for anyone here within a reasonable driving distance to attend. Especially if you've never been to Cafe Laura. It is a hidden gem of a restaurant on campus and the students really do a great job.

    And, it's definitely priced for anyone who may have budget concerns!

    we will be changing our sides up which we are finalizing this week, Everything else should remain the same including the fresh mozz salad.

    thank you both so much for the encouragement, i was glad i was able to meet you and that you had such a great time. I forwarded your messages to my prof and it made him delighted that we were focused on the customer experience as much as just getting our own stuff done.

    nov 29th is the very last dinner my group will be doing. Once that is over we will be officially done with setting up dinners and focusing on other classes which have taken a backseat to 430 such as my finance class
