In order to gain down votes back, you'll need to give out more up votes. Basically for every one down vote, you have to give out 4 up votes or else you run the risk of losing down votes each day to the point where you may start out with zero. I will agree and i will disagree. First PSU has been relevant as they are going for their 3rd 10 win season in 4 years (list the schools who can say that). To say that PSU is not relevant is just idiotic.

Second PSU needs a big time hire. 108,000 seats wont sell with a safe hire. PSU needs to generate excitement in the fan base.

Lastly whether we want to admit it or not a successful winning team will help PSU move past this quicker.

PSU football is #2 in the nation in profitability, and in the Top 5 for revenue (and that is before our STEP program was implemented). We are a big time program that has underachieved for years thanks to Joe, his son, and a staff containing guys just hanging on. We'll get past this scandal and be a force again. Sooner than you think, or hope for.

Where will Golden win a championship at first? I wasnt being an a-hole when I said what I said. Now you can have your opinion about Miami and there fans but we are on national TV when we play Bethune Cookman. We have 3 of the top 5 televised games ever. Our players define the NFL. We are called the U for a reason(and its not cause our players cant spell anything else.) We played in a national championship game 8 times out of 30 years. We won 5. We are a big program without the alumni. You guys should have better fan support. 45,000 graduates a year vs. 3000, do the math. Miami is a top 40 institution and a private school. I am pretty sure Golden knows that he wasnt considered for your job when times were good and he sure as hell isnt going to come there now as a backup plan. I said you guys were a great program but in the national scene just havent been as relevant as you think. Va Tech has 7 10 win seasons, can they go hand pick a coach? No. Coaches gravitate to the south cause the talent is in their back yards. I think you guys will get a great coach, but some of the names you guys have been throwing out there are just irrational.

We just had our search last year. The rumors said the same things. Jon Gruden, Bob Stoops....we got Golden. Most of our fans were going nuts, cause they didnt understand that all great coaches came from somewhere small. Golden is great, and cause we went thru that, I am shedding light on what we experienced.

We don't need to be stealing coaches from Duke, Navy or for God's sake, Harvard either. That would be like a self-imposed death penalty for PSU. Telling us to be happy with any of those three is somewhat foolish.

Have a very difficult time believing it to be true though. Especially since the NFL season isn't over yet and they'd be announcing it the day before Tennessee plays a game.

I think the timeline of announcing a HC depends more on the HC than potential recruits.
