First, this is partly TIC ... but you can imagine ...

"Yes, there is tremendous opprortunity to come in and contribute right away. After all, none of the kids DickRod recruited can play worth a darn."

I'm sure there is a lot of opportunity. And Hoke can sell a quality program and tradition.

So can BOB of course. Hoke is reaping the rewards of a lot of hard work on the trail. Michigan will be tough to beat looking forward.

  • We have 4 spots left, with this being our ideal finish

    LaQuon Treadwell
    Leon McQuay
    Alvin Bailey/Paul Harris
and the last spot for an elite player like Jordan Wilkins/Derrick Green/Kendall Fuller/Alquadin Muhammad or Joe Mathis

I agree with this as well. Coach Hoke has the ship in Ann Arbor pointed in the right direction and they will be a force to be reckoned with for many years to come in the conference and nationally.

I'd rather it be Michigan than OSU. I am not a big fan of Hoke since his 1st Big Ten press conference he seemed pretty arrogant about Michigan. I am sure Michigan fans love him now, and I prob. would too. He has sort of grown on me and definitely think Michigan has a more stable and consistent future than OSU.

We're not exactly sure. Technically, we don't have any available spots right now but the coaches expect a couple to open up. The rest of the class will probably consist of whoever wants to commit first out of a handful of players (DBs, WRs, DL, and a couple of RBs). All we know is that Treadwell has been assured a spot if he wants it; he's on his own timeline.

Hey just keep taking the Ohio Players and we will Try to Grab a few and we can watch Urban Slowly sink the Buckeyes. Then after that happens we can hate each other Again...lolbiggrin

Yeah, I don't necessarily think that we get him, I just meant an elite type guy like him. We don't really have any more needs to fill for this class, so we'll have the luxury of reserving the last 3-4 spots. By the way congrats on your recent pickup, seems like a good one.

I'd prefer it to be UM than OSU as well.

I think Hoke is just what UM needed and that is showing on and off the field very early on.

thanks for contributing, and not just trolling around, itll be interesting to see if Hoke just starts diving into the top projected kids for next year with so much time on his hands. out of the rich rod kids and in with some all stars...I haven't been over to the osu boards lately, but i would love to know how they are handling urban Meyer and the Buckeyes being out recruited by the maize and blue

thumbsup I try to avoid trolling. I think Hoke prefers to evaluate earlier than most because it gives him a chance to build better relationships with recruits. According to most members of Bucknuts, we're only getting recruits that they don't want and Urban will pull some late signing day magic like he did last year. shrug

OSU was probably the largest "beneficiary" of the Sandusky mess - if that was Urbz magic it must have been voodoo. I could really go without a repeat of all that.

Proudly delusional PSU fan for 40 years.

Yeah, I agree with you, what we saw last year with Sandusky and all of the late commitments to OSU will probably never happen again.

I'm sure the snake will steal someone late. That said, OSU has lost kids that were supposed to be locks, including two kids who's brothers play at OSU. Heuerman was supposed to definately be there. OSU might have been third in the race.

Urbs is taking a risk of sorts going nationally. There is plenty of talent in Ohio to fortify the roster and if there are particular positions that the state is short at, go elsewhere. Everyone is benefitting from Ohio going national in the State of Ohio. You have; we got Douglass; Sparty will get some and probably Wisky.
