Much preferred 2 or 3 over the others. As someone who didn't go to Penn State...what on earth is with that Lion mascot? It's so lame...just looks like a tall squirrel.
You find out life's this game of inches, so is football. Because in either game, life or football-the margin for error is so small. -Pacino

I have not, that's why I qualified my post, and I was actually hoping someone would tell me why I should like it. My issue is not with the fact that we have a mascot. I just think it's in bad need of a redesign - doesn't look that good, IMO (or intimidating).

He looks fine in person and he is not really meant to be intimidating. He just does some unique things to get the crowd (and children) into the game, and it works a lot of the times (his skits, signaling all sides of the crowd to cheer before the game at the 50, the salute with the band major guy after he does his 2 flips, he usually has some skills in things like dancing, gymnastics, etc...the Lion crowd surf, etc..).
If it was meant to be intimidating then I think have a live lion would work a lot better. Cool little note, the Lion uses a customized Schutt football helmet, and customized football gloves as his hands. He gets a full-ride scholarship. He also is not allowed to speak when in the outfit at all (just nods), for it would be out of character (this is even to people he knows). Also, that outfit stinkssss from all the sweat. He loses a lot of water weight those first few games of the year when it is hot and dont get much time to drink water.
