    As a pizza connoisseur myself my list goes:

    1. Margarita's - friendly service, consistently great pizza. crunchy, good sauce, not too much cheese. Go try a slice if you haven't yet.

    2. College - cheap, best of the fake pizza in State College IMO. Can't beat a special.
    3. Brother's - Consistent real pizza, just doesn't taste as good as Margs
    4. Canyon - cheaper than College but doesn't taste as good. Too much crust and I don't like the sauce

    5. Bell's - Don't like the style of pizza.

    Ah, Highway was decent, but the one downtown changed a few years ago and I haven't been to the one up on Atherton since. Never been to Faccia Luna, it was a bit off the beaten path for me. I've only been to Home Delivery Pizza Pub once, they have good pizza too but I haven't had it enough to accurately rate it.

  • Margarita's is the best pizza in downtown State College
    Faccia Luna is the best pizza overall, but it's a bit... fancier. Good place for a date.
    Bell's is the best drunk pizza.
    Canyon isn't pizza.

    Actually, no. To pizza, that is. I take it that you think it's pretty good. Maybe we'll give it a try.

    Nothing beat a late night slice at Acme Pizza. Also Academy Pizza (was in the building right beside Arby's (just passed Atherton, on West College), was top shelf. Not many new about it in my day, as it was only open a few days a week.

    Agreed. Half the experience was waiting on the line down Beaver Ave. Lots of good scenery and drunken sights to take in. And of course, the makeshift "restroom" in the opening at the end of the building.

    Facia Luna is the best. I'm there every Friday night before a home game. Extra Pep well done. You can't beat a good brick oven pizza.

    Any of the Seafood specials are great on Friday and Saturday nights. Vodka sauce on the Pasta.

    yeah i see where your coming from, id recommend the chicken parm or italian sandwich, if your willing to give them another try

    F.T.G. +1 to you. That makeshift "restroom" was man's best friend when in a drunken stuper on Friday and Saturday nights.

    There is a place above The Saloon (forgot what was originally there) called Inferno. Its a nice looking little place but never had their pizza, but it is a brick oven.

    Funny thing, I got a coupon in today's mail for their artisan pizza. Pictures look good, I guess it's fate. Glad there's always beer in the fridge!

  • My favorite drunk slice was always Goppers (which became Coronado's). It was dollar slices, edible when sober (unlike Canyon, so it was great drunk) and there was always a much shorter line.

    Very underrated IMO as long as you don't mind that they got busted for a drug ring and just changed the name, which I don't.
