I know it will probably happen, but Coach Chambers' recruiting has me dreaming a bit. Given the choice, would you rather win a basketball national championship or a BCS championship if you knew Penn State could only win one in your lifetime?
I'd say basketball but we won the MNC my freshman year.

Football. I'd actually trade 10 straight winless seasons in basketball for a MNC in football!

Not even close.
I just want a basketball team that can compete with 90%+ of the teams most of the time, and therefore gets me excited about the possibilities.
I want a football team that wins BCS trophies.

Since this is primarily a football board, most votes will be for football. However, all wouldn't resist a BCS championship and a BIG title contending basketball team.

I would have to say football but hopefully the Basketball team can just be top 3 in the BIG ten every year here soon.

Football. A football championship at this point is more about being the best over an entire season, basketball you just need to get hot at the right time.

I'm not.
This coach has the guts to cut dead-weight on the team and make the tough moves necessary. There are players on the bench that won't be on the team in a year or two - and people on the team that will be seeing a reduction in minutes.

I'd rather have a National Championship for our new Division 1 hockey team than basketball. Then again, I grew up playing hockey, but it would instantly legitimize PSU's hockey program. I also see that a NC would legitimize a basketball program too.
Above all else, I would love to see a PSU Football national championship or 5 as I was 3 months old for the 86 NC, although 1994 was a NC in my heart.
