An unranked freshman pinned by 2nd ranked wrestler in country.....that's expected....our big guys not scoring bonus Pts is when we're in trouble

2 points for a takedown
1 for escape
1-3 for near fall ... When the guy is sort of on his back
Team scoring:
3 points when you win by 7 or less
4 points when you win by 8-14
5 points when you win by 15
6 points when you win by pin
If winning was easy even losers would do it.

2 Pts for a takedown
1 pt escape
2 points for a reversal
Near falls or close to pinning a guy, 2-3 Pts depending on how many seconds
2-4SEC is 2 Pts
5 sec+ is 3
5+ and results in injury of other wrestler 4 Pts
Pin match it over
Terms of team points
6 Pts for a pin
5 for tech fall (win by 15)
4 for major dec ( win by 8)
3 for win
Edit--you also get 1 pt for having at least one min of riding time in individual match scoring

I do and if you look at the lineups Iowa is going to get their points, they going to be favored in two more matches plus a close one.

And as we learned in the Indiana Match(I think) you need near fall(back pts) points in the 15 point win to get the 5th bonus point, otherwise it is just a 4pt team tally
