Would you be opposed

  • to PSU wearing the Nike Pro Combat uniform for just 1 game? Say, the Michigan game last week?

Try to fathom the hypocrisy of a Government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured .but not prove they're a citizen

  • Considering that they are generally the worst looking garments ever made, yes. I seriously don't know what Nike is aiming for with its clothes... perhaps shock value? From their sports wear, to their golf shirts, to their uniforms, it is as if Nike turned over design to a bunch of four-year olds with ADD and too many cans of spray paint.

Penn State's uniforms are classically stylish. They are not trendy, they are not fashion. They are timeless style. When I see how many kids these days drool over Oregon's unis, and the combat jerseys, I fear what this nation will be dressing like in the years to come.

  • I am opposed. Do not change our uniforms, they are part of who we are

    PSU Chicago

  • I would like to see it once but at the same time, if you do it once, people will want to do it again, and again, and again - which is what I wouldn't want to happen.

I agree. I'd prefer that we didn't do it. Now if NIke started to flash cash in front of Curley & Spanier I wonder......

  • I thought the prototype uniforms looked pretty sharp, although the helmets looked funny. So I'd have no problem with the jerseys for one game -- and one game only -- while wearing the usual PSU helments. It could be fun for the players, fans, and recruits.

The problem in general with third jerseys is that you're going down a slippery slope. For example, if you go to a Pens game, half the crowd is now wearing the powder blue jerseys that they debuted in the Winter Classic a few years ago. For PSU, where the uniforms are iconic, I'd be worried that wearing the pro combat jersey would dilute the "mystique" around the PSU uniform.

Call me old fashioned, but I think the jerseys are a part of who we are and what PSU is all about.

I'm just not that into switching it up.

If winning was easy even losers would do it.

I'm afraid it would be done to justify another sales opportunity to the fans. The white out repurchase of white shirts, coats, etc. Now a new option to SELL! I can see Spanier & Curley jumping at it with all the royalty cash opportunities it would set up in the future.
