  • Howdy Penn State. Sorry to hear about Mike Mauti, he's a class act and its a shame to see him go down. I've seen this before and I' figured I'd volunteer to answer any questions about UW your fanbase might have. Here's hoping to a good game.

    Haven't heard anything from Big Rob which is scary. Our OL depth has been surprisingly por this year. Borland should be back, we missed him against OSU. If he's not 100 %he won't be there imo

    Greatest strength is our run game and our defense. Pass defense can be a lil suspect but our defense is pretty solid this year. Biggest weakness is by far out passing game. We are on our third string qb who won't do too much against you guys. No long balls from UW

    I don't mind Canada. He's been inconsistent and can have done bad play calling, but his hands are cuffed somewhat. Shut down our run, make us pass. Going to have to pass on us, no one has ran on us and I don't think that'll change.

    O'Brien is a bit of a pass-happy coach, does that set up well against the UW defense?

    How well does your defense do against TEs?

    Phillips. In case you haven't heard, you're welcome for taking DOB cause he is TERRIBLE. Can't make reads, gets skittish in the pocket, and has a noodle arm. Just garbage. Haven't really gone up against anyone with a TE but its given us trouble in the past.

    Regarding my comments earlier in the season, Bielema has redeemed himself somewhat. But still not completely sold on him not being overrated. You guys had OSU in the bag...I thought it was horribly simplistic to just run Ball up the middle on the drive where he fumbled.

    So you're OK with Canada as a playcaller? Stinks that Stave got injured, he was doing well for you guys.

    I guess I'm just a little more patient than the typical Wisconsin fan. Hes no Chryst but no one really is. i like the niches he has put in, ill just be interested to see what he can do with a QB who can actually throw the ball and throw sonething besides the deep ball. im hoping all coaches stay this year and we get some chemistry going. Expect a run heavy game plan, you'll see at least one end around, a few jet sweeps, and no screens (which is infuriating)
    Bielema really needs to work on those close game situations, but I respect him more for what he's done to raise UW's image nationally with recruiting, seems to gel his coaches snd plsyers well together, nd he genuinely cares about the players. Sure looks like an idiot on the sideline though and hope his in game intelligence goes up otherwise its going to hurt.
