University of Texas women's track coach Bev Kearney resigned Saturday and acknowledged in an interview with the Austin American-Statesman that she had an intimate relationship with an athlete in her program in 2002.

We were punished because of what was deemed a coverup of something illegal. This has no coverup (she wasn't fired right away, but she didn't do anything illegal). Not sure where there's any parallel at all aside from it involving a coach or former coach in college sports.

There isn't any parallel at all. Their has never been anything like the PSU case because it has nothing to do with the NCAA, but some here are now looking for blood everywhere.

In the consent decree, it says that "This would not usually be punishable by the NCAA." They did it because they said that PSU had a bad culture that worshiped football and put athletics over academics.
It's a total crock of sh*t.

It has happened at Penn State too. That coach is no longer here but the relationship was kind of an open secret.
