Who rounds out this class???

  • I say we get Wasonga, Donovan Smith, Brandon Reddish, Deion Barnes, and Conner Crowell. I'd say we have a better than 50% shot at Ishaq Williams, Darius jennings(just have a gut feel), and Andre Sturdivant. If I didn't mention a player who we have offered than IMO we aren't in serious contention for that player. If we get a couple of these guys(Mason, Whitmire, Cardale Jones) on campus that could change. What say you guys.

  • I think we have a much better shot at Williams than 50-50, but that's just me, and I think you could add Mason to that 50-50 list. I expect some more DBs to be offered, maybe Gill, Countess out of Good Counsel, or Williams out of DeMatha? And I think there's a shot at landing at least one of them. Agree with everything else though.

This class could've been very good, but it will still be servicable. Next year is the big year - lots of talent and more scholarships available. Here's to hoping we're in a strong position to grab that talent.

  • Can you two read? ;) JK .

I said we have a better than 50% shot at those guys not 50/50.

That is 14. Not to mention Pulliam. Zettel may be apart of this class as well, Jennings is still there. A few late "reaches". We only have room for about 9 or 10 right now, but I guess we may have 3 5 guys who leave for whatever reason.

This class could have been very good, but we just played it the wrong way. Still a solid class, but hopefully for 2012 we put together a great class.

Anyone know why we didn't offer Clemons? Guessing it is because of grades, but he still talks about Penn State, and has us pretty high up. Wouldn't mind taking him as a DT.

  • I don't get a real warm and fuzzy feeling about Cooper.

  • Speaking of Gill, he should be in attendance next weekend when PSU plays Youngstown State.

I think Clemons' grades are fine, I'm just not sure where he projects. He's short for an OL (he's about 6-2) and is pretty skinny from what I remember. Maybe defensive end, but there's better options out there. Penn State knows all about him, in fact his coach is Keith Olsommer, a former PSU TE.

He says PSU is definitely getting an OV, along with GT and UCLA. I'm not overly confident with him, but Penn State has a good shot, imo.

  • Wasonga
    Smith
    Sturdivant
    Barnes
    Crowell
    Reddish
Gill (as long as he gets his test score)
One late offer WR and possibly a late offer DT

Jennings is not coming here and I don't think Cooper is either, but Cooper is the more likely of the two. If he and Sturdivant were our DT's, I'd be cool with that. I'm also a lot less confident about I.Williams than everyone else. I think he ends up somewhere else.
