Always good to see this thread resurface.
Last night, I had a Samuel Adams Triple Bock. Believe me when I tell you to NEVER TRY THIS BEER. Horrendous. I was pessimistic going in, as it is described as an "ale brewed with maple syrup." Someone gave it to me, and I felt compelled to try it. Absolutely foul.
After that, I had a Kwak. Definitely recommend that one.

Breckenridge Christmas Ale
Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale
Southern Tier 2XMas
Haven't had the Southern Tier, but it is recommended.
The Great Lakes Christmas Ale is already bought. Can't wait.

Found 2 new ones today at Whole Foods.
North Peak HooDoo Midwest wet hop IPA. 99 ibus and 9%. Surprisingly malty for balance but leaves a little bit bitter. I like most from this brewery in Traverse City, MI. Their session ale is really good.
Sierra Nevada Narwhal. It is like Founders Breakfast Stout but cheaper, higher alcohol content at 10.2% and very black and thick. I like it but would not consume the 4 pack in one night- very heavy. Try it.

Sam Adams Triple Bock was way ahead of its time....in the 90's.
It has not aged well at all, from most accounts it is now undrinkable. I had it then and it was not bad at all. Strong, there was nothing like it and it came in a cool blue bottle.
Today was good, I found newly released Founders Bolt Cutter, Brooklyn Black Ops, Goose Island Bourbon County Stout and Great Lakes Blackout Stout. No cash left, but some awesome beers...

Ah, Westvletern 12. Longtime lurker, first time poster. It only took the world's best beer to pull me out of hiding. I work in Belgium a lot and have driven to the St Sixtus abbey cafe for Westvletern while over there. What a treat.

I am a huge fan of Westvleteren 12. Only had it once, but that was enough to know how good it is.
I wish I could get to one of those places today to get it.

I have trouble drinking a beer that I can't pronounce, but I will try it next time I see it...love the Belgians.

"American Style Imperial Pale Ale".
With the crazy Brett yeast its not.
Funky as hell and 10.5%.

Actually had this last night at around 1am when I was forgetting that I have a baby to wake up with in the morning and thought it was smart to hang out at the WOB at Easton. Tasty, not spectacular (and it cost about as much as Chimay), but very very good.

Not gonna lie. Did not go through the whole thread to see who said what. But gotta say(now damn close to impossible to find) Great Lakes Christmas Ale this year was beyond fantastic. And the snow drift vinilla porter from leinenkugel is a pretty good drop also.
