What a dirty play in the Title game.....

  • Well, the difference between the SEC and BIG for instant replay, the SEC got it right.

    Aaron Murray might be one of the worst big time game QBs around. There must have been 10 seconds of waste in the final two or three plays.

    Yea, I thought they would clock it. They would have had 2 and maybe even 3 attempts to the end zone.

    Me and the misses were discussing this all game long and we concur. Unfortunately, 'Bama v. ND may surpass PSU-Miami - '86 as the most-watched CFB televised game in history! I hope not though.

    I think it was the intended WR, but if not tipped, he would've caught it in stride and either turned up toward the EZ or gone OOB w a few secs on the clock. Bad break for UGA but a better defensive play from Bama that won the game.

  • Play of the game was the 2 PAT conversion for 'Bama. Otherwise UGA can kick a FG there to send it into OT.

    Officiating sucked and was definitely biased toward 'Bama. Obviously Emmert sent the memo to the refs that 'Bama was favored. CFB is nothing about anything but $$$ these days. We need an honest to goodness REAL playoff tournament to solve this conundrum. JMHO.

  • This Bama team is ripe for the picking. Really, really hope Notre Dame doesn't pull off the upset. I think they have a much better chance than people think.

    Bad calls for sure but Georgia was also extremely fortunate the refs picked up the PI flag before the blocked fg (don't think that ball was tipped) . That was at least a 10 point swing (possibly 14).

    Just curious if you think you would have had the mindset at game speed and under that pressure to know to drop that ball. Plus it didn't help he was slipping as he was making the catch.

    Yeah, but it doesn't mean thus years Bama team is all that great.

    What a shitty year for CFB. No great teams, and only a couple very good ones.

    I feel like last season, and last few seasons, had many more quality teams and as a whole were of a much higher caliber than this year. This year sucked as a whole for CFB.

    The NC game is a no win situation for those outside of the SEC and ND. The nation can't stand ND and absent the members of SEC schools, no one likes them. I have alot of respect for Bama and their fans - well alot of them. I will be rooting for Bama. I can handle one more year of hearing about the SEC over hearing the yaps of ND fans. Pass on that.

    Georgia lost because their d-line got its ass kicked by Alabama's o-line and they couldn't bring down Lacy and Yeldon on first contact. That's it.

    That was a major-league choke job by Richt and company. Almost like they preferred the ND/Bama matchup in the title game, so they intentionally blew it.

    Horrible.

    he wanted to spike it. The camera showed him motioning to spike it multiple times while looking at the sideline. I have no idea why Richt and co said no....

    He was slow getting the plays off down the stretch, but I wasn't so concerned about it. Had he spiked it they probably had enough time for 3 shots at the EZ.

    No doubt. Alabama has some weaknesses. But the BCS game will pit a great running game against a great run defense. Should be interesting.
