Penn State opened its doors to the media for a portion of practice on Wednesday.

  • So, is it possible that Penn State might have a pretty good pair of OT's this year??

    roncampb

  • I bet Smith never gives up that starting tackle spot.

    Great update!

I guess I should warn you, if I turn out to be particularly clear, you've probably misunderstood what I've said.

  • If we weren't doing those line drills in the past I want to go take Kenney and Anderson and have a talk. Thats a simple warm up drill and some chute work. The balls they were using are interesting, makes it a harder target for sure to truly lock on. Two drills that stress good hips and good footwork.

Great write up guys!! Much appreciated.

  • Great stuff! Can't wait for the BW game to see these guys in action!

  • I know they are still mixing things up but bolden with the second team....ugh

Staff, do you think there's a chance Matty Z gets more playing time as the year goes on

And 13 I agree with you outside of the fact he will be on the left side at some point. IMO Farrell's not a bad guy as a back up. My goal is the line is solid from the beginning. We have had some decent lines by the end of the season the last few years but it always seems we are right back in the same spot in april

LT when Gress graduates. I meant starting tackle for the next 4 years.

I have had a nutrionist tell me that all you do is waste your money on that stuff. He said that most Americans consume enough protein in their diet (because we eat larger meat portions) and that all the whey protein that people put in their body is just urinated out...don't know how true it is, but i think based of what he knows, it could very well be true.

IIRC someone who would know on this board alluded to that being true.

Was considered taboo by the old regime. shrug

  • I like Brown and Robinson, but how do kuntz and Zanellato look? Sean, what will likely be the Wide out and slot line up? Also who is the favorite for our H-B position?

That is insanity they weren't allowed to take any supps. Hopefully Fitz feels differently cause they'll probably need some with his workouts.

I believe he has already changed that.

That is not a well informed nutritionist. A well accepted rule of thumb is between .6 and .8 * body-weight = grams of protein for the day. This is totally based off if you want to help your muscles grow and recover. Now these are NCAA football players who are hitting the gym harder than any of us on this forum. The recovery that protein provides at the end of a workout for them is a must!!!

  • Hill has been moved to the three, and I am pretty excited to see what he can do there to follow Odrick and Still, despite being a bit smaller than both.

He talked with Rittenberg about it a little while ago
