Webb/Drennon

  • Now that is appears we have fumbled recruiting these 2 again, what other DT's do we have a legit chance with?

    I havent had a chance to check out Hurst.....any thoughts on him?

  • This is becoming really annoying on the board. Spulv asked a question and offered his opinion. There should be no reason that just because this guy asks a question you don't like he gets crucified with downvotes. If you don't like it, say so in your response. It is a little bit excessive that within 5 minutes of posting a question/opinion this thread already has 10 downvotes. Unacceptable and excessive.

    Not saying I agree with him, but people shouldn't have to fear downvotes unless it truly is a stupid/rude statement and I don't think this is the case.

    15, I believe we lost Webb b/c the 2 were quoted this week as saying they want to play ball together in college. Around the same say Drennon named us his leader and the Webb announcement rumors started heating up.

    First of all, where was the quote "this week" from? I'd like to see that. Second, why was Drennon so high on ND, when Webb isn't even being recruited by them? Why is it that Drennon can entertain going to a school where Webb isn't welcome, but now that PSU turned down Drennon, Webb is definitely not coming here?

    I don't know if Webb will come here. But there's plenty of evidence showing that they can and probably will end up going to different programs.

    I suggest you re-title your subject as DT targets versus saying Webb/Drennon and repeating what you've already stated in another thread.

    He made this thread for a specific purpose, and it wasn't to talk about other DT targets.

    I'm with you, there's a group of people on this board that can't take it when you disagree with them. They just want everyone to get in line and agree with everything that they have to say. I'm not saying I agree with what Spulv400 says but he didn't post anything outrageous or insulting. Alot of people think that these 2 were a package deal and by not offering one the coaching staff is screwing up the commitment of the other. Not that crazy of a concept. Not saying it's true but I can see where the idea comes from and shouldn't deserve to get barraged with downvotes.

    I predict Webb and Drennon commit to UVA this weekend or shortly thereafter. Webb may have a Muller type reaction from last year and bitterly commit to the next school after something went askew.

    Facts:
    1. Webb says he is close to a decision and will not be taking visits
    2. All indications are Webb to PSU is highly likely
    3. Shortly, thereafter, we hear Drennon cannot commit to PSU if he wants.
    4. Now all of sudden, Webb and Drennon are going on a visit to another school.

    If you think all of the above sounds good for Webb to PSU, I just don't agree. We probably dropped from 90% chance on Webb to 49%.

    He began his post with an assumption, one that is very well likely false.

    He also posts something negative in nature 90% of the time, so I am feeding his id. I figure it may prevent him from beating his dog or girlfriend if he can play the villain on this board.

    I mean it kind of bolstered my point that I wanted people to be able to freely express what they feel without fear of downvotes. I don't think my post was unreasonable and I just meant to bring something to light....and am currently almost at double digit downvotes. Just not a good atmosphere when people can't freely express their opinion without fear of downvotes.

    I don't think Spulv worries about downvotes, lol. If he did, he would try posting something with out the unnecessary negative tone.
