Penn State hosted a basketball visitor on Tuesday in 2014 Williamsport (Pa.) High School guard Isaiah Washington. The sophomore walked away with an offer from Pat Chambers.

Looks very interesting. Pat seems to be recruiting a lot of guards. I wonder if you can win the Big Ten with a guard oriented team?

Apparently has an offer from St. Joe's, too. He is only a sophomore this year.

FWIW, I've seen Williamsport play, and not a single player stood out. Especially not as a D1 player. That being said, I'll trust Chambers.

Interesting, another poster saw him multiple times this year and said he was "very impressive."
The Penn State coaching staff has also been to a few of Isaiah's games this season. Williamsport made it to the 2nd round of the PIAA state finals this past season as the #1 seed in their district before losing in overtime.

This is how you get PA kids to come to PSU. Get on 'em early. This kid will improve over the next two years and by then Chambers will be in his head. Hopefully Pat will also get students to turn out for games in bigger numbers. That's a tough road ahead and something these kids will look at.

Both games I saw were against Harrisburg High so I imagine he was more focused for those two, one being the overtime game you alluded to in the state tournament...that has developed into somewhat of a nice little rivalry as 'Port has come down to play in the Smallwood summer league for years now.....Kid will fill out still very young and could still grow a few more inches
