Here's a little in information we received before MM committed to ND. It's from Steven Elmer's dad who post on our board. He said he met the McGlinchey family and they were a great family. Said he shook hands with MM and they swallowed his up. Said a lot of heights and weights were off on prospects, but he's every bit the the size listed on 247. He also said they were heading to Wisconsin that day, but MM's father told Mr. Elmer he'd love for his son to be Irish. Later on that day they were heading to Wisconsin they stopped the car and discussed the ND visit. They never made it to Wisconsin and headed back to SB and committed. Sounds like his family was all about ND as well. Have to wait and see if MM sticks to what he's saying and shuts it down.

By his quotes, we all can clearly see that he was forced to commit to hold his spot. He said minutes before committing that he was not ready to commit yet.

You find out life's this game of inches, so is football. Because in either game, life or football-the margin for error is so small. -Pacino

"Forced" no. Actually the staff seems to be telling kids if they're not sure go ahead and take visits this year. After getting burned on quite a few kids last year this is better approach. A lot of new coaches on our staff and from last weekends JR Day it seems to be paying huge dividends. New OL Coach had Olin Kreutz at practice working with OL earlier this week.

Not sure many of us will agree here. It does seem like if you don't verbal now, we won't have a spot for you type of thing. Regardless, I wouldn't be too sure this is a done deal though. JMO.

"Forced" is prob. not the right word, but I think "pressured" is the right word.
