WV Metro News: Switzer to Tar Heels:

  • lol the insiders across all sites (including the fake insider Sekrah) has been wrong across the board. I am starting to believe insiders do not exist/get bad intel/things drastically change more often than not (get things wrong more often than right by coincidence).

Edit: this was not directed at Fitz at all.

You find out life's this game of inches, so is football. Because in either game, life or football-the margin for error is so small. -Pacino

    Sorry but disagree again.
There is not a "5'9 170 slot guy" in the last 5 years with film like that.
Switzer is an outstanding football player and his quickness and agility is simply phenomenal even for "quick slot guys."

He looks outstanding because he is blowing by inbreds

I'm in the camp that is happy we didn't get Switzer. Kid is a 5'8 170 slot guy, dime a dozen.

I disagree. Yes he's 5'-8" 170, but you are leaving out his explosive athletic ability. He's 4.4-5 speed guy and posted times in a few of the typical combine drills, shuttle and 3-cone I believe that would have placed him amongst the elite of NFL hopefulls...as a high school junior. His film shows exceptional ability to see the field and he would immediately become a threat in the return game. I for one believe he will be sorely missed and though me may never get the whole story about how his supposed lock status to PSU unravelled I will wish him the best at UNC. I fully expect him to have a great career.

This is why I can't stand recruiting. I mean, it's fun to follow and stuff but to get caught up in where a 17/18 will go to college really isn't worth losing any sleep over. Kids feel one way one day, take a visit, and then the next day their mind is completely reversed and they do the complete opposite of what they said/were feeling yesterday. It's all part of the recruiting game though.

He's 17. His family is a bit older and wiser. Everyone has to make the best choice that fit their own priorities, and it's everybody's perrogative to do so freely. Penn State did all they could, and in the end he chose a place where he felt he'd be happier and help set him up for the rest of his adult life.

As a PSU fan, I'm happy with the effort and execution of my own school. There's no scoreboard in this one to indicate if you're winning or not. It just comes down to a single choice.

Trust me I agree with everything you have said but I question the adults. The kid "acted" like he wanted PSU and makes a quick trip to UNC and his "coach" can't wait to announce he is going to UNC. Why not tell him to wait and think about it like he did PSU! I just don't get it.

Posts like this (even as a joke) are completely insensitive and not worthy of a PSU fan in my opinion. I happen to have many family members still living in West Virginia and have visited on many occasions. There is a lot that can be said about the conditions in the state but comments like this make you look like a fool.

That state blows plain and simple....is there a council that determines one's fandom? He looks good because his competition stinks....I will gladly take lemelle or Boyd

Except that he blew by almost everyone at the national Under Armour combine as well.

The kid is a legit athlete, lets not sell him short (ba dum pish) because he's headed elsewhere.

He's for sure talented but a lot of his hype and praise stems from people thinking he was a lock for psu

  • Well it sucks for him more than anything....his name will be buried behind the UNC basketball B-Team's in the college paper. You likely won't hear this kids name again.

Sure the level of competition as far as high school football goes in WV isn't that great, but you don't get 2,700 yards in one season as a mediocre player... kid was a burner

Too bad he won't figure that out until that stadium is deserted on a Saturday afternoon because the Dean Dome is packed for the preseason exhibition against Mt. Olive

  • Good player. Good luck to him at UNC.

It hasn't been a good week for Penn State recruiting, besides Cothran's commit.

Penn State fans, the idiotic homers and haters, need to grow up.

  • Let's show some class!

A bunch of jerks on here with their sorry excuses. If a kid wants to play somewhere else, that's his perogative. Wish him luck, and let's move on.

There's lots of nice receivers out there waiting to hear from PSU.

Agreed, when will people stop caring what these "insiders" have to say?
