I just saw on Wayne Morgans 247 board he's been reported to have a scholarship offer from Penn State now

Databases are inaccurate in many cases. A kid can claim an offer he doesn't have. It happens all the time. We have seen comments from his coach that he THINKS PSU is close to offering or is going to offer. We won't know if he ever got his offer until he verbals to PSU - otherwise, there is often doubt that he has or had one.

If I'm not mistaken I think Morgan may have had a scholly in his junior season because I remember us being pretty heavy on him early this year. I may be wrong though. By the way, his stats and measures look decent what's the reason he has so Lil interest from bigger colleges?

He is rated pretty high on ESPN and 247. right now he's got offers from major college schools and pretty high interest from Sout Carolina, Michigan and MIami. He could have offers from all of those school plus more; it's not that he's good it just depends what cite your on. Some cites say he's got about 10 offers from major colleges; others say he has about 4. The point is he could have more offers than we see on cites. It is really unknown

For those who are interested, two ESPN recruiting guys predicted Morgan to pick us.
Any idea when he's announcing?

Thats an understandable prediction. He stated that he had always really like Penn State as a child and they are very involved with him. He was going to decide between Michigan and Rutgers back in June, but lost interest in those schools. A decision will be coming soon

He had a Michigan offer in June and Hoke pressured him to commit. He was very close to doing so, but those close to him wanted him to stay closer to home so he backed off. Since then, he struggled at camps and his rankings plummetted. That said, he'd be a solid pick-up for us at this point, particularly at safety (if i remember correctly he was struggling at corner and was thougbt to be better suited for safety)

Not that ESPN is reliable in any way....but 2 ESPN guys predicted S Trae Elson from Alabama would pick us too. I have never even heard that name before.

That was a typo by the ESPN guy. It was meant to be Morgan.

It appears that Morgan doesn't have a PSU offer at this point. Seen this from several sources that I consider dependable.

It looks like it will either be Cox and Schwann or no one. Kinda glad were not going after reach kids, should have plenty of top kids interested in 2013.

He's borderline reach. Has offers from RU and mostly Iowa. So while we could have done better, its not like here stealing the kid away from Temple.
I do think he is slow off the ball for one.
Btw, 72, what did you think of Allen Robinson?

We already did that.
The reason I say reach is simply we don't need a DE this year and the kid isn't some freak physical specimen that warrants the offer. We are stacked with DE projects. Save the 'ship.

Thats why I would not be surprised if he doesnt get an offer. Slow off the ball is what stood out to me the most. If your slow getting off in HS, ur f'd in college.
