Nov. 16, 1912: Penn State 37, Ohio State 0, in Columbus. Upset by the lack of respect they had received from Ohio State, Penn State turned up their roughhouse style and demolished the heavily favored Buckeyes. The battered Ohio State team left the field after Nittany Lions’ touchdown late in the fourth quarter flattened an OSU star lineman. To win by forfeit, PSU was required to remain on the field despite a disorderly crowd. The teams did not play again for 44 years.
So basically tOSU took their ball and went home because PSU was "Big Meanies" and were playing too rough!!!!!
