They need to get the words "shocking!" and "bizarre!" and "surprising!" in there so they can sell more magazines.

I love how the national media painted Joe over the last 5 years or more as nothing more than a mascot. Now, its Joe had Stalin-esque control over everything that happened in Happy Valley.

This is dead on. The media defines Joe as to however it bests makes money for them.
I've said it a thousand times, and I'll say it a thousand more if need be. How can a man who did so much right in his life willfully ignore/harbor an alleged child sex offender? It just doesn't add up, but people's bloodlust won't allow them to stop thinking that. Or in many cases, saying it.

I dunno... they might be on to something. I mean he did cut short a fund raising trip. Joe would never back out of one of those unless something major was going on. And his 4 day weekend? Forget about it!

I think we're ignoring the major story here, Esquire magazine is still in circulation!
We need an investigation to see if people actually read it & how much $ rehashing the PSU story will make them.
I heard Better Homes & Gardens is struggling & will be running a PSU story this summer to make ends meet.

While I personally won't buy the Joe knew Sandusky was a molester and did nothing to stop it bit until there is some hard proof to the contrary, sex offenses often get swept under a rug because people think they will get "better" after they get warned. Just ask the Catholic church how well that works.

I'm pretty sure that was the same time they were working on plans for renovating the stadium.. Also, I may be wrong but I think Sue had hip replacement surgery around then as well

When does Spanier, Curley and Schultz take thier blame at the level coach Paterno is still having thrown on him??? Oh and let us not forget the major player Sandusky.......oh yea that's right this is actually about him. Nice job media!!

these are serious allegations.
One would have hoped that a supposedly respected journal would have relied on more than filling in blanks with preconceived notions and what is essentially gossip. "madlibs" journalism.
Thats why I read Esquire for the pictures, not the articles.
