Uniforms

  • I want our daily grind uniforms to be the same but I think an annual one and done is an awesome idea. It displays that our football team is all about tradition and history but that we are up with the times and are "cool" as we'll.

I think a uniform change is almost inevitable. This is just some random concept that I stumbled upon. I definitely consider myself a traditionalist, but I could live with something like this. I don't know about the chipmunk logo on the pants tho.

Get rid of the #s on the helmets and Im in... I dont like it permanently bc we would look like Bama with blue on.. I think the stripe on the neck is fine, but I don't like it on the sleeves. Those two changes and I think we have a winner. A lilttle new, but still almost the same. But keep the names on the back for goodness sake. It makes it easier to ID players.

  • I would buy every new jersey style we wear. Im sure im not the only one. I love how oregon does it. Except when they go outside of their color scheme.

  • I would like to see us do Black and Pink one year for homecoming, especially since we do Black and White S-Zone anyway.

Why are uniform canges inevitable? Where did you come across that specific rendering?

Well maybe inevitable is the wrong word, but I just have a gut feeling that change is coming either this year or towards the end of the sanctions. Now that BOB has a full season under his belt I wouldn't be surprised if he told Nike to show him a few concepts at the very least. Between the names on the jerseys and 42 on the helmets it is obvious the current regime is open to change (even though they were "tributes"). I found these on some uniform design website.

I dont think putting the names on the jersey and the #42 on the helmets means change is "inevitable." OB has said from the beginning until the end that he was not going to change the uniforms. If it werent for the sanctions, the uniforms would not have changed at all this season. He put the names on the jersey for a reason.

The numbers on the helmet is no big deal, but messing with the actual uniforms or putting the chipmunk logo anywhere on the helmet or uniform is just stupid. If you are going to make changes like that, then why stop there? Why not go full Oregon? If you make any changes to the uniform then you are taking away the tradition aspect that makes our uniforms so special. Adding the names to the uniform did not take away that specialness because it was a tribute to those who stayed.

You find out life's this game of inches, so is football. Because in either game, life or football-the margin for error is so small. -Pacino
