USC fans are delusional.. help your guy out.

  • FYI: USC fan randy88moss started a thread on USC's homesite to downvote a thread that PSUBills started about them screwing a kid over that was about to EE.

I thought you might wanna help out one of your own.

    Kiffin having trouble counting

Apparently he doesns sad to see these kids essential

  • Damn, USC fans really get their panties in a bunch if Kiffin gets criticized. I love the "If anyone from PSU says anything negative, we call them a rape enabler" mentality. Solid deflection tactic.

  • Aww man, it got deleted (along with ejb's thread).

    Cliff notes for those interested:
Bills: Kiff did this, kinda scummy
USC fans: You rape little boys or your coach rapes little boys, so you can't ever criticize anyone ever for anything
    .
    .

6 pages of that then deleted

Yeah. They just deleted the thread. USC fans are way worse than I thought they were. They act as if Kiffin had no choice but to screw the kid.

    Solid people.

  • Oh goodness. Thanks for the support, Clark.

There were a couple of good USC fans that I encountered in that thread. Of course, one compared me to Hitler and apparently it's spiraled from there.

  • The incredible thing is that they actually support the Kiff. How can they not realize that they have slop for a coach?? 7-6 with all that talent is a joke.

So the one guy told me that for every Kiffin apologist, there were 9 USC fans who want him gone. Maybe the ratio is a little exaggerated, but it sounds like most of them do not care to defend him anymore.

Oh and the fact that they think I care about upvotes and downvotes is laughable. I guess that's what they have to resort to when logical debate is no longer an option due to addled brains.

Do you know how I know when I win a "debate"? When Sandusky is brought into the conversation.

USC fans are FAR worse than your neighbors to the south and ND fans combined. I think its just the LA mentality, but they lack ANY football knowledge and general sense of decency.

  • I was reading a thread on their site about the kid that decommitted and was actually very surprised they were for the most part ALL sticking up for Kiffin. Their main justification was this: "Leon McQuay III is at a much needed position, so we have to take him now. Sorry, thats just the way it works out. Thank the NCAA." Yeah the NCAA is shady, but Kiffin shouldve told McQuay I will see you in June then since he was already full and pretty much had a kid on campus ready to start classes.

I hate to tell you this but we could wind up in exactly the same situation in a couple of years, so I wouldn't be so quick to criticize.

Yeah, highly doubt we will be preseason #1 in the AP during anytime of our sanctions and for a few years post scholly reduction. Expectations are different, and the talent on the USC roster is still some of the tops in the country. I understand the depth issue, but that should not result in some of the losses they had. From 1st team down to the dirty show, they seemed to be horribly coached.

    We Are...Penn State!

  • I lived in SoCal. USC fans are fair weather. When USC is doing well they show up, when they're not they are ignored.

In my experience, the USC alumni are not nearly as passionate as the Penn State alumni. In LA alone we have at least 4 official alumni bars that get a good size crowd at 9 AM PST on Saturdays in the fall. I have never come across a USC alumni bar on the east coast anywhere, including Philly, DC and NYC.

There is always so much other stuff happening in LA that USC needs a coach like Kiffin just to get people's attention over all the other noise. It's all bravado and bluster. In PC's case he was winning so people cared, in Kiffen's case he's a terrible coach so he has to act like a jackass to remain media relevant.

And IMHO, UCLA's campus in Westwood is WAY nicer than USC's campus in downtown LA. (But Pepperdine's is nicer than both, and UCSB is even nicer than that!)

LA fans care WAY more about the Lakers, and I'd argue even the Kings as well. USC is at least 3rd on the list, and if they aren't winning they fall even further down.

You should have told him, the kid that got his scholly cut was a position of need at one point too!! They needed him a year ago when they offered him the scholarship and now that someone can't graduate on time they take it away from someone who has been a solid verbal for a year for a fresh recruit! Who cares what their argument is, Kiff is crooked on his own will and he learned to elaborate that some in his year in the SEC! He screws almost everyone he comes in contact with it seems!

If we get 4 and 5 star kids by the boatload and can't do better than 7-6, BOB isn't going to last. But I don't see us getting nearly enough blue chippers to make this a reasonable comparison to Kiff. And there is that pesky 65 limit that kind of makes it a different situation as well.

  • Recently, on a message board I frequent a Steelers fan disagreed with someone's post about the Bama/ND game. The original poster response wasn't to defend his position, but to ask the Steelers fan if he was an irrelevant Pitt fan or a Pedo State fan, as if that had anything to do with the debate. This thread reminds me of that encounter, because the poster asking the question was a USC fan.

It is easy to spot a losing argument; it will be filled with insults.

I'm going to disagree on this one. I do not ever see Bill O'Brien offering a scholarship and him except the commitment from the player to turn around and then tell him the right before classes start that he does not have a scholarship for him. the only way I see that happening is if a person gets into some legal trouble.

I think O'Brian will do what he did this year and let kids know that they are the second option if another scholarship offer does not pan out.

    What?

As I posted in another thread:

What would happen if we had the 65 scholarship limit restriction in place this year and Mike Zordich came to O'Brien and said "Coach, it turns out that I'm not graduating and I need one more semester to get my degree, so I'm going to need that scholarship after all" After all he's done, does O'Brien say "Sorry, can't help" or does he ask one of the early enrollees to wait until summer to enroll?

We could very easily be in that situation in a couple of years so I wouldn't be so quick to throw USC under the bus.

I thought Kiffen told one kid he couldn't EE and took different one instead?
