“I coached against Terrelle Pryor a few years ago,” Brentwood coach Kevin Kissel said. “I believe Tyler Boyd is a better high school football player than Terrelle Pryor was. I actually thought we played well tonight. But we could have had 17 players on the field, and we weren’t going to tackle Tyler Boyd. I have never seen anyone like him.”

Yes, PSU is out of the running, but they definately were big time in the running pre sanctions. rmj pounds head off wall, lol.
First, let me say that I am not trying to put Boyd down. The kid is an absolute sick athlete, who I do think will do very well in college. But .... and this isn't his fault - he plays in 1A. I am from Brentwood, the team Clairton destroyed last night. Every year there are kids from Clairton that absolutely put up insane stats, and just look unstoppable, because the competition they are playing is not on the same level as them. Then they get to a major college, and realize it isn't as easy to just tuck it and take off because nobody on the field is as big or as fast as you. Now I do think Boyd is better than a lot of those kids in the past, and like I said, I think he is going to have an impact. But its easy to get blown away with his stats, but know the competition.
It really does amaze me that Clairton doesn't at least schedule some 1AA schools or something just for a little better competition. I mean - yes they destroy everyone and its fun, but you would think they might want a little challange here and there. Although - the winning streak is so impressive that, why risk it?
I have seen Boyd play a lot, and I have seen some of their past players that were unstoppable ... 2 of them have transferred back to California PA. I do know for a fact that Boyd is a pretty bright kid, and the classroom shouldn't be a problem for him if he focuses at all.

I said the same thing until I watched the Rivals camp and watched him destroy 4 star corners at will, after not playing WR for a whole year... Kid is a beast. Sorry. And his hands are special. The catch last night going over the middle away from his body, he plucked out of the air like it was nothing, didnt hesitate, didnt break stride. He is going to be special. I am on record.

Sorry what??? I said that I think he will make an impact in college. Did you even read my post? I was just saying that stats alone don't tell the story in 1A schools and gave an example. That is all.
I know 2 teachers at Clairton and both said that he isn't "as tall as they say, right at 6' maybe". But I always thought he was 6'2 so I don't know what they are talking about.
It doesn't matter, he isn't coming here.
