Just a quick update on his status after Jeff's notes yesterday. He tore his left pectoral while benching a few weeks back. He had surgery on it this week and is slated to miss about four months. According to a few players that I spoke with yesterday, a determination for the No. 2 center spot and the longsnapping job have not been made, though Howle did say that Emory Etter was recovered from his own surgery and could go this year. He also said that freshman longsnapper Joe Marvin, a guy we profiled earlier this summer, has looked good in informal snapping workouts so far.
