I thought Brown just publically committed to Maryland during one of those mini-events at one of those all-star games. I don't think he can be had.

It's Maryland... Maryland... We have an new HC and an RB coach that will actually recruit... I think he can be had with a full court press...

Maybe, maybe not. Locksley is a very good recruiter for MD, but it's certainly worth checking in with him.

Brown just went on a semi-coherent twitter rant a few days ago, basically upset that people were questioning his commitment to Maryland, and that he wanted to play ball and have a chance to stay close to his mom... sounded like he was annoyed at coaches still recruiting him, or not believing he was solid to Maryland... but I am sure LJ can find that out for himself if its true or not...
I have said it for months, Brown was my favorite RB in this class that we had a shot at, would love to see him here and there would certainly be an opportunity for him to play early and play alot.

Because of the relatively short time between now and the time he announced his commitment, I think his commitment probably rates a little higher than "jack". However, I do agree there is always a chance...

It still baffles me people who follow recruiting underestimate that when there is an in state solid BCS school kids can and/or will solidly consider them, and often choose them.
Not that they can't be had....but the start of your post hints at naievity, or at least failure to acknowledge this.

How many top MD kids actually go to MD??? And with Randy Edsal there? Really? UVA, Bama, Florida, us, etc. have robbed them for years, and I don't really see it getting any better. And Edsal will be fired within the next few years, mark my words...
