I think Holgerson is a class A dick and TB would be a fool to go to WVU to work for him... Plus if Bradley runs the kind of defense he ran here, the zone bend but don't break I think the BIG12 lights it up the way houston lit us up in the Bowl Game.

TB needs to get in the game even if not as DC. He needs to show he is no longer toxic. Once back in the game he can be a stronger candidate for a DC or even HC position.

Our defense was stout against terrible offenses.

Against good offenses our defense would get crushed.

Bob's offense would destroy the best Bradley D.... Roof was one of the biggest upgrades in the new staff

I would say BOB and his offense were by far the biggest upgrade.

Sure, it would be interesting to see how TB would perform without Paterno's shackles. I think he would be much more aggressive if he were permitted and had the requisite talent on hand.

PSU doesn't need TB at WVU, Pitt, Temple or anywhere close. He's too good a recruiter.

Hello all! Haven't posted recently, non VIP member so some may not even remember my handle, new job has kept me only at lurker status. Anyway, not that you're not allowed to have your opinion black shoes, but holgerson is actually a pretty good guy. I know this first hand as I have met him a few times, but only chatted briefly. My nephew actually plays on the team and really likes him a lot. Says he's a good guy and emphasizes the things you would want your coach to prioritize from a on and off the field standpoint. Just wanted to weigh in on this, as I kind of always thought he seemed like a bit of a d*ck too until my nephew started playing for him and told me otherwise.

well let see what happens with this year team and beyond with Roof.
remember all the players on last year team were still Joe's guys.

No that is not true. Our defense was very good against very good offenses even in the dark years. The PSU defense was left out to dry by the offense which could not sustain any long drives or control the time of possession. The TB d's did exactly what they were supposed to do., they kept the ball in front of them and didn't give up too many big plays. Yes if we didn't get a good pass rush we would get dinked and dunked. But we also had games where we were getting good pass rushes early in the game only to be left out to dry by the offense going three and out every series.

How could someone seriously say that the new DC was our biggest upgrade? The defense was very good this year. But how could you not see that the huge improvement was on the other side? Bradley's defense often held the whole program together while that dysfunctional offensive staff would take 8 or 9 games to figure out what they were doing.
