I honest to God do not know why people thought this. One he has built a relative dynasty in Tuscaloosa. Two he has advantages there he would never have here. There is only one school I would leave Bama for if I was Nick.

Texas. He would have Texas in the championship every year and be a God in the state that holds football above anything but Jesus and the GOP. Recruiting is easy as pie in Texas and he would be even better as he actually has recruiting talent unlike Mack who just points at the Lonhorn logo and says "Yup". He would go out of the state more often but hardly ever because he wouldn't need to.

Not saying you're necessarily wrong, but he's in the BCSCG for the 2nd time in 3 years, and with this recruiting class, he'll be back again and again. After the UA game last night, it's apparent that he's racking up one of the greatest recruiting classes ever right now. And while Texas has a really big pile of money, Alabama has plenty enough money to match whatever Texas would pay. It's not like Texas would pay him 100 million a year.
Alabama can give him everything Texas could, without him having to leave. And Texas would be a lot farther away from his lake house.

Texas is the best job in the country. Period. I love Bama, really do. Think they are a helluva school and a great football program. But Texas can offer him more from natural recruiting grounds, to money, to national prestige. Nick also has no problem moving, but I don't see him leaving Bama for anything less than Texas.
I don't think he would actually leave, but if there is anywhere he is going for an upgrade, it would be Texas.
