This is the final Thon Canning Weekend

  • If you see the students, show them your support.

My daughter and her club are in the suburban Baltimore area Saturday (White Marsh / Towson / Hunt Valley). But kids will be all over the region.

These fall outings are the only off campus canning events. There will not be any in the Spring. And this is the final sanctioned weekend.

Again, if you're out across the region, you'll see them. And if you're in the B'More burbs, show the love.

If you know of other scheduled locations, feel free to add on.

  • Excellent. I live just up the hill from Hunt Valley and the assumption would be that they're canning in the area surrounding Hunt Valley Towne Centre. I'll be sure to donate since I'm part of the Cars & Coffee event at HVTC every week. If the canners are on site early enough, I'll see what I can do about sending a few cars their way. The only issue would be timing. My group typically leaves between 9:00 and 9:30 a.m.

I've got 14 PSU canners staying at my house this weekend in Glen Mills, PA. I work in White Marsh. I'll my remind my coworkers to share the live

  • Just saw my first canner of the season yesterday in Pottsville. This is by far one of the little things in life that makes me smile. I make it a point to give each and every canner money every time I pass. It ends up costing me a few bucks each year but I figure its a tremendous organization that I know where every dime goes. And it goes in the name of PSU. Great kids, great cause!

  • My wife and I are hosting my daughter's group this weekend. They headed out here in the Bloomsburg/Danville area about an hour ago. After attending THON last year to cheer on our son who was dancing, and seeing the true character of PSU, I can't help but get goosebumps when I see these young people working so hard to raise money for the kids.

I am really looking forward to having a family room full of kids (at least for the 2nd half) rooting on the Lions as they take on the team from Lincoln.
