  • Wow....wasn't he the player that was caught with some Mary Jane in the apartment?

    CharlestonLion

  • Ah moo moo. He has a redshirt year so his playing days may not be over unless due to injury.

Getting this out quick, we were already projecting over so aside from maybe position distribution of schollies doesn't change much there.

  • I guess O'Brien heard back some more concrete info from the cops on the matter from a couple months ago.

  • Great move by the staff, these guys have to be squeaky clean from now on. This will send a huge message to the team

  • This SUCKS!

    No Drake. No Moo Moo.

I know Drake wasn't supposed to play much offense this year, but he and Moo Moo were playmakers! (When not injured that is)

Moo Moo wasn't a difference maker. Neither was Drake. Drake was a potential difference maker when he wasn't on the IR 9 out of 10 weeks. I have no problem seeing Smith gone. All he did was complain on the field.

Something else must have transpired to lead to this. I don't think BOB would have put him on the depth chart where he was if he was close to being dismissed.

  • Hmm so does kenney now become the guy in the slot? Does belton move back? Does this help eugene lewis see the field extremely early?

So many questions right now as i am not extremely confident with what the WR corps looks like.

  • Yes this sucks for Moo Moo but to me this isn't a season breaker. He was probably the fastest guy on the team but he wasn't used right for the past 3 years so he really didn't have that much of a factor. He constantly tripped over his own feet and to me Kenney should have been listed as the number 1 coming into camp. Kenney is the future in the slot position so I'm not too concerned about it.

Kenney gets the slot, I think Lewis sees the field early. Belton is a RB... No move back. Kersey may see more touches too... Kid has speed to burn and this should be a big year for him (he's a JR). Also, more of Mr. Robinson I presume... We will be fine at WR. Lots of potential there...

Yep, more touches for underclassmen with tons of potential and that are over 5'6...

I just really dont want to see belton On the sidelines behind redd.... Hes a playmaker and needs to be on the field...

With dukes, zwinak, day and lynch...i really dont see much reason for belton to stick at rb....

? because it's his natural position... They will use him a lot though. I figure he is a weapon that they will use in a bunch of ways... He will probably be in the slot some, in the backfield some, etc. Also would love to see him and Kenney return kicks and punts... This could open that up too...

Edit: Also, I wouldn't trust Day with more than a couple of carries a game... Hopefully Dukes works his way out of the doghouse, and Zwinak improves... I don't know if they plan on using Lynch this year or using a redshirt on the youngster...

Because he is much more natural and better suited to be at RB. The new staff was even dumbfounded on how they had him at WR as opposed to RB. I am confident the new staff will find a way to make sure Belton is known.

You find out life's this game of inches, so is football. Because in either game, life or football-the margin for error is so small. -Pacino

  • That really is a shame. It would have been interesting to see how the new staff would have used him. Guess it's Alex Kenney's time to step up. Good luck!

Oh snap! @CoryGiger and @GoPSUJeff just called @seanfitz247 and @Lions247 liars!!!! I'm setting Fitz as an early 3-2 favorite on this one.

  • some of you guys are looking at our playmakers like Belton, Kenney, Lewis ect..... and thinking thate they are still under the old staff that wouldnt put these guys in the best situation to succeed.... The way i am looking at this is if Belton can catch and has some shiftyness to him like we all know he does then he will play.....no doubt in my mind we will see him and Redd on the field at the same time with one going to the slot or something to this effect....... Dont forget our HC is the guy last year put his star TE at RB just to mix it up alil and it worked. Not saying we are going to see Gilliam at RB but just saying that this staff will put their playmakers in positions to make plays unlike the other staff.

    BLEEDINGPSU

  • I would have liked to seen what he could have done this year, but with that said, he never really lived up to his hyped speed on the field, and was often tackled by the yard markers.. However....., we need recievers.

And i think thats what im failing to realize, mainly because we have yet to see how the offense is really going to be, and how the players are really going to be used. I am so used to the old scheme, that i forget what playing the best 11 looks like.
