Sean/Board...
Would anyone be interested in voting for a new tagline, to update the current "Black shoes, basic blues. No names all game"?
Maybe something more focused around the new chapter of PSU football with terms such as Loyalty, Commitment, ONE TEAM, etc... I don't know, but the board came up with some good ones last time.
Thoughts? Could we do this with enough interest, Sean?

agree with you. Noticed that a couple months ago and then totally forgot about it. It is so subtle, I rarely see it.

I've seen some videos when they said something like one heart, one family, one team... something along those lines...

My first choice is probably "Suck It Emmert" but I am not sure the 247 staff would go for it
I never caught on with the "One Team" thing. I like the idea of course, just didnt catch with me, felt pushed, early on. I never thought we were anything but One Team to begin with. If we have a culture problem I quote some Busta Rhymes with "Gimme some more"
But if we go with it, I believe One Family is part of it :)
If you havent signed up for premium 247 yet..take my word for it...its worth it!

If we go back to not having names on the jerseys next year (hope we do) then I say leave it the same. There's been a lot of new which has been good but don't want to go overboard.

This is why I didnt say anything about the tagline, still hoping the jerseys go back to the tried and true. Out of respect for a great tradition, and out of respect for the kids of the 2012 class as well(making it special)

Am I the only one that wants to see at least one game with the '60's helmet numbers?

Used "One Team, One Family, One Goal" on T shirts for a team I coach. Not gonna lie, inspiration for it came from this team.

No way...one of the things that sets us apart are our uni's. Its tradition. Penn State is tradition. Living out in Cali now...peeps that know football always first say "I love those uni's" or "braaaa love those uni's!" Joe Paterno helped build this tradition...I think leaving names off jerseys is symbolic for what Penn State has always stood for.

The names really don't bother me.. It did a little bit at first, but I've grown to really not care... We still have the basic blue jersey with the basic white pants and black shoes.... The only real beef I have with the uniforms is when players wear high white socks. The white socks/pants combo just doesn't look good. If they're going to wear socks, wear blue.

Ask John Cappelletti how he feels while winning the Heisman when he wore the "22" on the side of his helmet. I don't believe he ever thought about looking like an Alabama player in blue.
