Kid may very well end up @ PSU, but IMO it wont be anytime soon. He is enjoying the recruiting process way too much at this point for him to end it this early. There is a reason WVU has slowed played him and withheld their offer for so long.

How bout a heads up trade for Bill Belton : )

    That kid is a stud

When he comes up for a spring practice or the Blue White game and doesn't commit, then we can be concerned.

Whats the reason for the WVU slow play? or what do you think the reason is?

I think his recruitment is basically over now, he'll take a couple trips to make sure he found the right place and commit to PSU during his spring practice or Blue/White game visit.

Oh, we'll be keeping Bill Belton as well :)

If winning was easy even losers would do it.

I'm not sure you really have much to offer in this trade right now? I think we hold onto Belton and add Switzer at some point later on this spring. Stranger things have happened, but PSU looks to be in pretty good shape here.

  • Oh Im not doubting you guys can/will land him at all. I just think that it may take a little longer than anticipated?

Wherever he feels best for him is where he should go. The state of WV does not produce much talent. But every once in awhile a good one pans out....you guys had a good one from WV in Curt Warner many years ago. If he decides to head to PSU hopefully he can offer similar results.

I think he truly won't commit here until his mom eithter talks on the phone with B'OB or visits. So if people expect him to verbal befire then, than i think it'l take longer than anticipated... but i would be very surprised if he didnt commit to coach O'Brien with his mom sitting next to him

Well that sucks and sums up some pretty big fears....Kid was in the bag and Mom talks him out of it.... Rivals are landing studs left and right and this happens.... BAD omen.

Staff has some serious work to do.

What's with all the doom and gloom? He told sean something along the lines of 'I want to go to PSU, just want to talk to my mom' and then said in the article ' "She just said that it sounds too good to be true," he said. "I told her everything and she's really curious and excited to get up on campus in the spring and meet everybody." '

  • Zanax time, people...

If we get Hackenburg, Brennamen, Switzer, + 2-3 more w/in the next couple of weeks, we'll be on track. With the "kind words" that have been spoken, I can't imagine Junior Day was all for not. We may be a bit behind, but its where you finish, not how you start. That said... yep... I would have rathered had a better start.

Those 3 will start to show BOB's offense starting to take shape (Brady, Gronk, Welker...) -- I know that's a stretch to say the least but his ability to implement that offense = one of the best selling points he has. If those three are as hot on PSU as advertised, the dominos can begin to topple w/ just a little push.

So, relax peeps... No "verbals" yet does not = a death sentence. I'll be just as relieved as the rest when the first domino falls.

Phila likes to jump off the ledge at the slightest provocation. This is a ridiculously silly thread. Kid loved Penn State. Wants his Mom to see it before he commits, because he loves and respects his mom and wants her to be part of the process. As soon as that happens, all signs point to him committing. The fact that some here would rather him ignore his love and respect for his mother and commit right away just so it can ease their irrational and obsessive fears about the success of Penn State's next recruiting class is, in a word, pathetic.
