‏@Cordale10 Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS

  • This is very interesting, it seems that the Academic misconduct at UNC went deeper than just Butch Davis and the football team. And whats interesting is that this didnt seem to be included in the prior NCAA investigation. The NCAA should look back into UNC football and basketball it seems, but I am sure it wont.

I'm sure it will look at football, but basketball is to powerful, bank on that. Hope like hell I don't have any spelling or grammar errors either.

  • I hope Larry Drew is implicated as the basketball player.

  • Couple points here:
    1) None of us know the conversations that took place between BOB and Switzer.
    2) Switzer looks like a very quick athlete, might be a Welker clone. But why does everyone seem to think he is a fabulous slot receiver? As far as I know, he's played tailback/RB his entire HS career. How many balls has he caught in HS?
    3) The idea that PSU offers "no-work, no-show" classes like those outlined at UNC is absurd.

He has camped all over and showed great hands. However, like I said, I would rather have Boyd, Foster or Harris, just because slot guys are a dime a dozen. Next year the kid Smith looks better than Switzer, and he is from PA and camped here last weekend...

To point number 2....Switzer is a short a white guy with some speed. Thats where his similarities to Welker end. I agree with you, Im not sure why people think he is all of a sudden Wes Welker the football player just because they are similar in stature.

Also has quickness and from some camp film seems to have excellent hands. Not sure of his route running at this time, but that can be taught. Speed, quickness, having natural hands, etc..is tough to teach, but can be improved.

I know it seems like an easy way to compare Switzer to someone everyone knows, but the similarities are there regardless of race.

With that said, Switzer can stay at UNC and be irrelevant with that team. We are Penn State, not some half-a$$ed program like UNC. We have others who want to play the important slot role in OBs offense and values Penn State and what it stands for (which is not Sandusky despite what he or his mother/coach may think).

You find out life's this game of inches, so is football. Because in either game, life or football-the margin for error is so small. -Pacino

  • The 7 v 7 footage where he played receiver was impressive and where some of the Welker comparisons come from. Short quick cuts, very good hands. I really wanted him. That said, he missed his chance.

To me, after watching his 7 on 7 I questioned his hands more. He catches everything into his body in that video.

I live nowhere near Chicago. I apologize for missing the "t" though, crappy keyboard. Still, I should be spelling much better than that. I thank you for catching it.

Anyways, this thread took an interesting turn.

It's an "insider" rumor, and one that I believe.

inside rumors confirmed by who? Inside rumors with no name on it are just that, rumors......and rarely turn out to be true.

Not sure why all the hate for Switzer. Lots of love on here until he made a decision for his family and verballed to UNC. Anyhow, his door shut when Fuller commited
