There have been coaches that have received their due but one that hasn't is John Strollo the TE coach. Tremendous TE play.
This is a team of 2 star and walk on TE's playing great. Gilliam, Carter and Lehman weren't at the top of any recruiting rankings.

No doubt, Blissios.
Coach Strollo has done a great job of getting our TE's ready to play both as pass catchers and blockers. Can't wait to see what he can do with AB!

Nice post, our TE play has been outstanding. A good part of it is scheme but the players have executed it almost flawlessly. Also a nod to the S&C program. Those guys look like NFL TEs.

Would Heplea have seen any time with these guys in front of him? I ask because I know his dad who is one heck of a nice guy. Last I looked Kevin has 2or 3 catches for Florida St and he's behind a sophomore.

That was the reason for the transfer. He had already fallen behind our guys and had a hard time coming to terms with that.

Haplea wouldn't have seen any time whatsoever. Heck, I think Wilkerson passed him and he is probably redshirting. Had no problem with Haplea transferring. I think he regrets the place he transferred to though.

I wouldn't quite go that far. I'm still pretty pissed off with everything but I'm very happy to see the team improving by each passing week. And yes, Strollo is turning out to be a great hire by BOB. Can't wait to see what they do with Breneman the next 4 years.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still upset with the leadership or lack of by the BOT and that they are trying to white out Joepa. Nonetheless I am happy with the hire of BOB and the job he and his staff have done. Last winter and all the events leading up to the end of July were the darkest since I have been following PSU football (1967) finally the sun is starting to peak out just a bit!

Haplea caught at TD pass vs. South Florida on Saturday.
Season stats: 3 Rec.; 15 yards, 1 TD
He has no stats available for the Wake Forest (9/15) or Clemson game (9/22).
He played in the 9/8 game vs. Savannah State but did not make a catch.

Yea, Strollo is turning out to be amazing for us. He is starting to make our 2* TE's look like NFL TE's. Dont know if they will get drafted or not, but man these three are playing lights out. Man, cant wait for AB to come in.. just imagine.....

The best part is all the tight end's are coming back for another year. Lehman and Carter have looked outstanding. Gilliam doesn't have many catches, but when I've seen him, he looks great with his pass blocking.
I hope we redshirt Brenneman and give his knee another year to heal. We won't need him next year so we might as well let him play in a few bowl games.

I am glad, I liked the guy from the first interview and he seems like he can recruit the type of kid's PSU wants to have!

As god a job as he's done with the TEs, I think he was brought in because of his Jersey recruiting ties. GREAT hire.
