Story: Penn State picks up No. 9

  • He certainly likes to hit. I like it!

BSD is "reporting" that Robinson attended camp and got an offer after "showing the coaching staff something impressive". Apparently his coach didn't know he was in PA this weekend? Either that, or the guys at BSD are a bunch of tools.

Stick to your wheelhouse guys. I don't know what that is anymore, but it's definitely not recruiting.

    Perfect.

    +1 More if possible

This kid confirmed in interviews that he has not been on campus. Bsd 100 percent botched that one.... oops.

  • That kid does not hit like he's 170 lbs.

  • even with them subscribing to this site for inside info they still can't get the facts straight, hopefully he isn't just using this offer to commit and get some more publicity so some southern schools will take notice and offer

If he committed to try and get more noticed, I can't really blame him. If he really wants to go to one of the big 3 or another big southern school, the commit plus calling those schools will help that out. It sucks to happen to PSU, but with the amount schools mess around with recruits, it's a pretty smart tactic.

No idea if that's what he did though, just a smart way to game the system.

Awesome! I grew up about 5 miles from Northview on the Bama side of Escambia County. Northview wasn’t even in existence when I was a kid.

That's because back then it was Ernest Ward and Central High - merged to Northview. You must be an old-timer ;-) And you're from the "fake" Escambia County to boot!!

That's actually what I am worried about.

This came out of absolutely nowhere, I have no idea when this guy's recruitment got started. Also, no recruit's commitment is truly solid until he gets on campus and sees the school. He can still be flipped, and I doubt this one is over.

That being said, I REALLY, REALLY, like this kid. Does well with the ball in the air, hits really well, and seems to have both good acceleration and top end speed.

If it sticks, which I'm praying it does, then I'm ecstatic.

‏@Cordale10 Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS

  • For those who care, Neiko Robinson is now rated on 247. He's a 3* recruit with a grade of 86. That's a fine rating for a kid who was off the radar completely not that long ago.
