Or some day you will finally realize this man you think is so great turned a blind eye to child molestation allowing more innocent kids to get hurt. Great men don't wait to report this because they "didn't want to ruin anyones weekend".
If winning was easy even losers would do it.

CBS News has learned that the NCAA will announce what a high-ranking association source called "unprecedented" penalties against both the Penn State University football team and the school.
"I've never seen anything like it," the source told correspondent Armen Keteyian.
NCAA President Mark Emmert will make the announcement Monday morning at 9 a.m. at the organization's headquarters in Indianapolis.

What the PSU Administration is doing reminds me of what happened in an epic movie, "The Ten Commandments", starring Charleston Heston. In a key part of the movie Moses renounces his position as Prince of Egypt to lead the Hebrews out of Egypt; at that time, Moses' greatest fan, the current Pharaoh, issues an edict that the name of Moses shall be stricken form every tablet, statue and plaque in all of Egypt, and that the name of Moses shall never be spoken again, under penalty of death! Well at the moment of his death, this very Pharaoh speaks his name in loving praise.
When all the craziness ends, and all discover and understand what a great man they have purged, they will bemoan this day and what they have done to this man's family, fans and his memory. Poor fools!

That if they left the statue up that some nutjob would do something to it and cause sheer madness and people would get hurt?
No, I'm not taking that statement back.

Maybe it's just my opinion, but I feel that if Joe truly wanted to cover this whole thing up he wouldn't have reported it to his superiors. MM was just a graduated assistant at the time he witnessed the shower incident, and probably looked highly up to Joe. After hearing about the incident, Joe could have easily told MM that it would be taken care of, and then done nothing more. I feel that if Joe wanted to cover this whole thing up he would have ended the chain with him, rather than reporting it to people who were well equipped to handle the matter.

I acknowledge that the statue had to be moved because of it's perceived meaning to those outside of the PSU community.
I don't quite understand how the statue for football accomplishments would be the "recurring wound to the multitude of individuals across the nation and beyond who have been the victims of child abuse" and the library would hold such a different meaning.
Simply feels like the university is pinning this on the football program instead of the administration.
It'd be nice if he mentioned where it was being moved to. If it's going inside the stadium or the all sports museum he might as well say it, but I guess we can't get over that transparency thing.

The NCAA doesnt have to do anything. The legal system will discourage this, not a scholarship reduction or bowl ban.
Whats up with MSU fans coming over here so much? Its obvious you guys realize that your program is a step below us and you all are hoping and praying we get punished.

Have you considered that the NCAA imposing a major penalty could be an agreed-to cover for Penn State's administration doing what needs to be done?
I know you love your school and football team, but the AD and/or head football coaching covering up child rape to preserve the program's and coach's reputation is a big f-ing deal. You guys need to take a step back and consider the bigger picture.
