Some of you need to wake up.
Erickson and the BOT were in a no win situation. The NCAA can legally do what they did. No recourse for PSU. It is a political institution, not a legal one, and the political sentiment of the moment was to use PSU as a tool in their quest to consolidate power.
Start directing your anger purely at the NCAA. As a just starting graduate student at Oregon State, I can promise you that I plan to contact their president and hopefully voice my displeasure with him in person. Those are the individuals who should draw your ire.

The BOT is such a wet blanket. We had Coach O'Brien all over tv and radio letting everyone know what a great academic and athletic school we are. We also have that awesome statement by Mauti and Zordich that has the fanbase ready to run through a wall. Then I see the bot is holding a special meeting to discuss the sanctions. It seemed as if Penn State was going to fight back.
And then, nothing. What a bunch of empty suits.
