I switched away from State Farm yesterday Home, truck and 3 cars.

Get your new insurance but before you switch be certain you have a paid copy of your declaration pages, and coverage insurance cards or printed copies BEFORE cancelling State Farm.

In the process of dropping them as well

Dropped my State Farm HomeOwners insurance today. Made it clear to the agent it had nothing to do with the agent or service it was just general principle. Please be sure to let the higher ups know, "Don't worry, I will". I know I'm not squat in the scheme of things for state farm but I feel better.

I had to drop State Farm, prices were too good elsewhere. But I always enjoyed their coverage.

I was just teasing about if you wanted to never deal with a company that cut bait. Every big company has done that somewhere along the line, its called a business decision.

Also, I have no idea where any of those places are that you just said.

I knew you were kidding..hence the "grin". West Chester is near Philly. Westfield is my insurance company...they're located in the "sprawling metropolis" of Silverdale, PA in southeastern PA. I understand what you're saying about the business decision. I made one too, I decided to stop dealing with them for multiple reasons, but I was able to make a statement to my former agent to let him know that I disagree with their decision.

After not advertising for the Ohio game, I saw State Farm's ad on the scoreboard against Navy on Saturday. I expect they're trying to stop the bleeding from Penn Stater's leaving them in droves.

Not exactly...

The ads you saw yesterday actually also ran during the Ohio game. They're not sponsored by State Farm corporate, there was a message on the banner on the tier below the scoreboard while the ad was running that the ad was paid for by "Your Pennsylvania State Farm agents". Which basically is a reaction from the local state farm agents trying to give Penn Staters some incentive to not drop them.

I sort of feel bad for the local agents that the corporate decision hurts, but maybe state farm should have thought of what effect this decision would have on their people doing business in that area before publicly pulling their sponsorship from the school.
