How would you rate their ability to recruit? I believe that is the 1st thing we can judge them on, before we see an on the field product. Certainly put in a good effort trying to salvage the class, reaching out to 2013's, and expanding our recruiting footprint. All of these things aside, are you excited for what this staff can/could do in 2013?

I would give them a solid C at this point. They havent really done anything to make me excited for 2013 just yet, other than to get this dreadful end of the year over with and in the past. For the most part, we lost out on the key players that were previously commited, we didnt get any high profile commits from those uncommited players, and werent able to sway any high profile players commited elsewhere. I think this is the 1st signing day in ages where PSU fans as a whole arent really excited for the day, as we are about to sign a class that lacks quite a bit in talent, but gets points for in heart. I know a lot of that has to do with the situation, but we cant use that as an excuse. Meyer just had sanctions dropped on him and put together a top 3 class in 7 weeks. Miami is a candidate for the death penalty, although unlikely, and they will sign a top 10-15 class as well.
I am excited for Wednesday to be over so we can see what the staff can do moving forward. So far, a good effort but average results.
...and if you're not down with that, then I got 2 words for ya.."suck it!!"

Kenney >>>> Buggs in recruiting.
JMO, Bradley's recruiting prowess was starting to lose its luster a bit. That comment probably strikes a nerve with people, but if you sit back and look at the recent classes, who did he get? When he was one, very few are better. That said, PSU has right now has very few players on its roster recruited by Bradley.

Is that a serious statement? EVERYONE we have gotten from Maryland and Virginia has been LJ. Just to name a few...
Devon Still Aaron Maybin Navorro Bowman Adrian Amos
If I am wrong on any of these feel free to correct me guys, but I truly do not think you can question LJ's recruiting ability. He is one of the best in the B1G.
My bad Jay...hadn't seen your post before posting my response.

How can anyone begin to call out Larry Johnson in any aspect of his position at PSU.
First and foremost the guy is still here. You don't think that he couldn't get another D-Line coaching position (at the very least) at a bunch of different high level schools.
Recruiting-wise: This guy has been instrumental in the recruitment of many of the best players to play at PSU over the last decade. There is absolutely no reasons to question his recruiting prowess.
Player development: Ask the NFL. Look at the All-Americans.
If one wants to complain... complain about something or someone who deserves to be complained about. LJ Sr. is not in that category.
Hell... his offspring has one of the greatest rushing seasons of all time in college football, (he's a knuckle head, but his 2000 yard season was amazing)
