Special teams

  • Any word on how the special team is looking or isn't emphasized that much during spring drills?

In several articles written here on spring practice, comments have referred to special teams getting time in practice. I don't think I have read a report indicating progress just that ST are getting reps, which I was happy to read.

  • I think it may have been mentioned in a report by Sean or one of the observers from the coaches clinic a few weeks back but Special Teams gets emphasized during practice. I think at the beginning of a practice a ST group goes off and practices while the rest of the team go off into individual drills. It's emphasized a lot more than what it used to be.

  • I've been wondering this too. Who will be returning punts and kick-offs? Brown had some moments last year and should be ok. I'm sure a couple others will emerge. Without really seeing what we have, I like Kenny and Amos or Belton returning kick-offs.
