  • I'm not surprised at all. Both teams in the state are pretty sketchy if you ask me.

  • Does anyone have a recap for the last year or running list of teams?

    Aub - under investigation
    LSU - hit with sanctions
    USCe - under investigation
Tenn - was hit already this year (minor punishments)
    UNC - matter of time
OSU - which time and how many/much?
Boise - Whole athletic department got hit
Miami - pay for play under investigation
    Oregon - under investigation

I feel like I may be missing a couple?

  • Anyone know the nature of the investigation?

Don't suppose they will be looking under the Marcus Lattimore rock...

  • Lattimore and Clowney are the recruitments which intrigue me. Sure they were local kids but comon, it's USCjr.

I guess I should warn you, if I turn out to be particularly clear, you've probably misunderstood what I've said.

  • Marcus' mom rejected Auburn because they were shady about their recruitment - don't think there's anything going on with him.

  • That article is very vague, my guess would be it has to do with the conclusion of the Whitney Hotel investigation and Weslye Saunders, however, there were some whispers about a possible boat trip on Lake Murray involving Alshon Jeffery a lil while back. I don't know or remember if that was legit. I do know Lattimore is clean.

All I know is that his mother was all "we are...penn state" at the allstar game, then suddenly he is all gamecock. Maybe mom wasn't the only one involved in his recruitment?

Lattimore is a legitimately outstanding young man. I would be absolutely stunned if his recruitment was off the books, and I'm typically a really cynical guy with that stuff. Spurrier won over his Mom...it's well documented and publicized. Not to mention, Marcus' hometown spent nearly 3 years swaying him toward USCe. He committed at his church. They held a worship service and then a parade afterward. That's how it works down south.

    Clowney...now anything was possible there.
