  • I would prefer Cox, Morgan, and Moore over him as well. Idk about anyone else we need to start going a different root and not keep having white safeties all the time. I just wanna say that I am black and wasn't trying to sound racist. So sorry if my comment affended anyone.

    Plenty of white safeties that are just fine. But I agree. Im tired of the safeties that can't hit and aren't overly athletic. That's old.

    Yeah there were some that were decent but like you said not overly athletic. If we would have a white safety that turned out to be a John Lynch type then great.

    I could care less if they are purple if they can intimidate receivers and take the proper angles.

  • I dont buy that BS about the Staff telling Skyler he would come in as a safety. Thats just the typical BS Phil pulls when a kid is off of PSU.

    No way in hell we told Sklyer he would have to be a safety...look at our QB depth. 100% sure he would start at QB, and maybe maybe 2-3 years down the road would move, but no way would he start.

    This has never been confirmed beyond the infamous Sekrah tweeting it. It's certainly possible, but not in any way confirmed.

    I agree with this. I think if they did that kid would've made it a point to say he is not here anymore, among other things.

    Not that I ever saw/heard/read. Sekrah tweeted it like a week ago and it's been reported as "fact" many times since (mostly because a lot of people like him as a safety and don't as a QB).

    It's absolutely possible that the new staff told him they like him better as a safety. It's also possible that it's completely made up.

    Not offended but, really. There have been some very good if not great white safeties, Wideouts, running backs, etc. on many teams across the nation. I don't think skin tone has much to do with it.

    I'll agree with the wideouts but running backs? Really? I wouldn't go that far Toby Gerhart is the last one I remember. If you wanna go way back then Craig James comes to mind as well, also maybe Kyle Eckel form navy but that was due to there offense. Can't remember many safeties though.

    Yeah I just thought of him after I posted, he's a tough physical runner. Okay guys maybe I worded it wrong im not saying by no means that there are not great white players. Sure there are like I said I am black and I will be the first to say that a white QB reads for the most part reads defenses better than the black QB. There are certain positions that the black athlete excels better at than the white athlete. And some that the white athlete excels or is equal to the black athlete. RB, WR, CB, S, all have to favor the black athlete. The Wr to an extent cause there are some great white wr's out there. DL,OL,TE,FB, I believe the white and the black athlete are equal. Like I said the QB position favors the white athlete.

    Oh yeah and I can't forget about the punters and kickers
