Then he should go to the USC boards just like Redd did with all his new best buds. Maybe they can all brainstorm on how Redd can get his degree this year when they don't even offer his major. We appreciate Silas for his contributions and he is a nice kid. But he sold himself out for a chance at a ring with strangers (oh, sorry... The 3rd string QB that will never play was on Silas' team when they were 8). Great kid and family, but the statement was obviously a fail attempt at sounding classy and his words about being a captain and leader all year are proven to be disingenuous.

All fan bases for all major teams everywhere in the country are all essentially equally crazy. You consistently argue that Penn State fans are abnormally stupid and lacking in self awareness, and it's an argument that holds zero water.

All I know is many here and at other PSU sites blast fans from opposing teams for acting like they are acting. PSU fans are idiots, but most I met know they are idiots and don't pretend to not have a double standard like many on PSU boards.

It's already been said before but I'm gonna reiterate that the only thing that bothers me about this whole situation is the statement that USC is a better fit for him academically and what not. Everyone knows that's not true, just admit you want to try and win a MNC and I'd respect you alot more.

Wow, that's a messed up thing to say. Talk about ungrateful. The kid was 1000+ yard back for you last season and you wish that on him? Very classless. I hope you don't represent most of Penn Staters.

So 2 wrongs make a right. Got it. I thought PSU fans were supposed to be different. This is much like all the same people all of a sudden changing their time and saying "these things happen everywhere".

If winning was easy even losers would do it.

A lot of the football fun has been taken out of me for numerous reasons. Maybe when the season starts I'll feel different. I'm not even excited for the season and that's the first time that's ever happened.

Every fanbase claims to be different. In every sport. Any group of die hard fans of any sports team is going to have their way of behaving or acting. Its part of the game. Would you rather everyone behaves the same?
