    All fan bases for all major teams everywhere in the country are all essentially equally crazy. You consistently argue that Penn State fans are abnormally stupid and lacking in self awareness, and it's an argument that holds zero water.

    This is so true. Everyone but pete is crazy and a hypocrite. I think he blabbers the same BS about the Steelers fans as well. The moral high card can't be played when you are running around insulting any and everyone. It comes off as a complete and utter joke.

  • I am not pissed that he is leaving, only care about those that stay true. What am am pissed is that he wants to insult our intelligence by saying that it was not just about football and the best for his academic career too when USC does not even offer his major.

    Will not wish bad things for him nor will I wish him luck. I could just care less what he does or doesn't do.

    PSU didn't have the sanctions before. USC IS A BETTER TEAM. End of story. Why should Silas have to deal with sanctions that he had nothing to do with? That's not fair. His parents might have told him he neded to leave. If Lynch leaves, which will most likely happen,. Are Some going to say the Same thing? This is rediculous o wish I'll upon a 20 YEAR OLD KID. None of this was his fault.

    So no matter what all players should go to the perceived better team ... no matter what?

    If winning was easy even losers would do it.

    It's not even a valid arguement he is making. Lynch is a true frosh. He isn't a leader yet. He wasn't lined up to be a captain this fall. Other than that...he was right on the money. [crazy]

    I do not expect him to run for 1000 this year. He wont get enough carries with one very good senior back already in front of him.. I suspect his yards per carry will be higher as he will be on a very very good passing team and eight in the box wont happen against us for more than a quarter. Our weakness was lack of depth and Silas fixed that. Pretty simple actually.

    Sorry for your loss.

  • Marithur, first off, who in the heck are you? Take your self-righteous "here is how you should act" attitude and shove it up your arse.
    And no, people will not be hateful to a true freshman who leaves, since the bowl ban lasts 4 years, and they have yet to play a down here.
    Their situation is much different from a junior captain set to graduate and get drafted within a year's time, who opened his mouth and claimed to be the savior and leader all year only to be the first scholarship player (who hadn't already previously asked for a transfer before the sanctions like Bolden and Haplea) to leave.
    I don't agree with some of the comments about Redd. But Stfu and stop acting like Mr. Self-righteous telling people how to act minutes after they receive news that pisses them off.

    In case you didn't notice, the question in this post is rhetorical, and I will not waste any more time responding to you.

    A guy who joins the day of SR leaving and only posts in threads involving him calling PSU fans classless is a troll.

    I'm 20, and this isn't too terribly hard to understand. I understand why he left, and of that's what he wants, so be it. However I don't have to like it, because we certainly don't have the same priorities.

    Redd is an All-American caliber RB, no matter what we think as fans.

    Losing an All-American always hurts, especially when he was a team leader, but Belton is a very good scat back. I don't know if he can take the beating a full season in the B1G brings as a feature back though.

    Maybe they can all brainstorm on how Redd can get his degree this year when they don't even offer his major.
    We appreciate Silas for his contributions and he is a nice kid. But he sold himself out for a chance at a ring with strangers (oh, sorry... The 3rd string QB that will never play was on Silas' team when they were 8). Great kid and family, but the statement was obviously a fail attempt at sounding classy and his words about being a captain and leader all year are proven to be disingenuous.

    He could of ran for -1000, been the leader and captain he made himself out to be and loved forever. (See our fullback who barely touches the ball will go down as a legend here) Has nothing to do with production but coming from FSU I can see how you want football production over everything.
