That is my name on their tops and no one can tell me any different!!!!
I guess I should warn you, if I turn out to be particularly clear, you've probably misunderstood what I've said.
WE ARE! And we will always be...
Any update on this situation Sean? Anyone else hear anything recently on Pullium?
My concerns at DB for this class have sparked some heated disagreement, but it seems that we are on the outside looking in for most of our targets, and that we have REAL NEEDS at the position. I am sick of DB always getting last look as a position in recruiting. You cannot cover the bigger WR's or all the talent on the perimeter in the college game with lack luster recruits at CB and Safety IMO.
We need to step up our efforts in a big way, and I have been saying it for a long time. Now that we are getting feedback on some of the "feeler" offers that we sent out a while back and have not gotten positive results, when are we going to start to feel the concern? I just went back to previous threads (around page 20 or so on the current list), and I see that I was criticized often for saying that the CB recruiting concerned me "with so many offers out" to kids like Richardson, Darby, and others... Now those kids are not interested, and we still have a need at Corner. Look at our current depth chart and tell me that you are not concerned after this year...
To this point, Tyree, Reeves, and Cox are the only ones still interested, and we do not know how that will turn out. We need 4-5 quality prospects, and to this point only have a possibility of 3... Not good. Although some of the offers to Southern Safeties give me hope, we need to put an emphasis on CB for sure. Any ideas on who some of the kids will be that we target next... My vote is for Marchez Coates as a possibility, but I would like to know who you guys think are some others that warrant offers... Look forward to hearing from you guys soon.
Didn't Clark have a similar issue? It took him a while to get the required ACT score and then when he showed up on campus he was still ruled ineligible. He had to graduate in a certain time frame to get his fourth year back. I believe Clark was considered Prop 42 which has been dropped by the NCAA. I would not write off Pulliam just yet.
There are worlds of difference between the character/attitude of Clark vs. Pulliam though... Not sure that this will work out in the end...
