Only being counted a 4 star in the rankings, but the most recent QA says with 5 star tight end.

Breneman is a 5 star talent. We all k ow that. I could care less what his star ranking is right now because he will likely finish as a 5 star.

It's obviously no indication of real ability, its just fun to speculate and have bragging rights. It's been a long time since PSU has contended for top rated classes.

I dont know about by the book.
But a 5 star should just make an impact on his own. At TE you are reliant upon a QB and gameplan to get you to produce.
WR could return kicks, so he can do more on his own.
QB duh
RB get the ball more
Defensive players can always have opportunity to make plays.
Just much tougher at TE imo
If you havent signed up for premium 247 yet..take my word for it...its worth it!

Shouldn't prospects be considered by the position they play as opposed to comparing them across all positions? I'll never understand this logic. The kid is the #1 TE in the country w/film so filthy it looks like they inserted an NFL player into his games at certain spots. If he's not a 5 * player no one is.

Your probably right. Yes with me being a woman I don't know as much as you gentlemen do. I do want to have a great class and if his ranking helps that then I'll be super happy. I was making the point because im so happy he committed to Psu. So thats why I say he will always be a 5star in my heart. No matter if they had him as a 4 or a 5star. I'm just so excited about the kid.

Please understand it is not about knowing as much because you have been a nice addition so far to the board. It was the wording because it is something my wife would have said. Please understand no negatives at all about your post just the wording.

Who cares what they say.
I consider myself a very manly man... and Breneman is a 5 star in my heart too. I say that in the most manly way possible of course. However, after his coach spoke for 25 of the longest minutes of my life... the things Breneman said really restored the faith and the ROAR! By embracing PSU the way he did he really makes it easy for every other kid to say "Yeah... It IS ok to pick PSU again... in fact it KICKS ASS to pick them!"

Some of you obviously don't know the "rule". Once a kid commits to PSU he LOSES a star....IMMEDIATELY. By the time Aug rolls around Brenneman will be a 3 star. All of ND's and ohio state's will be 4s minimum.

I would imagine in order to be a by the book 5 star that would mean that you would have to have a major impact on your teams performance from the moment you become a part of the program.

Oh, its not a problem sir. You didn't offend me with anything you said. I love watching Psu football and following my alma mater. I admittedly said that I do not know as much. My husband is the one who has the knowledge of the X & O's in the family. ;)
